Venue for Budding Artists

For the promotion of art and culture, DCC offers a subsidized venue for budding artists. The DCC Hall is available for rehearsals with up to 25 participants or small stage performances with an audience of up to 50 people, all at a discounted rate. The package includes the venue, sound system, and stage decoration, making it easy for emerging artists to conduct their programs or rehearsals smoothly.

The hall is available for reservation in four weekly slots, each with a duration of 4 hours. The available slots are:

  • Slot 1: Saturdays, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
  • Slot 2: Sundays, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
  • Slot 3: Sundays, 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
  • Slot 4: Sundays, 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM

The hall may also be available for reservations on other public holidays, depending on the DCC class schedule.

Hall Reservation Rates

  1. Venue for Rehearsals: Rs 2,500 per 4-hour slot (for up to 25 participants)
  2. Venue for Performances: Rs 5,000 per 4-hour slot (for up to 50 participants)
  3. Sound System with Operator: Rs 2,000 per 4-hour slot
  4. Stage Decoration: Rs 1,000 per 4-hour slot

Hall Reservation Procedure

Employees of any DAE unit can apply for the hall by filling out the prescribed application form available at DCC. The DCC managing committee will review the applications, check the availability of the hall, and approve the allotments accordingly. The hall is exclusively reserved for the promotion of art and culture and will not be allotted for functions such as get-togethers, social gatherings, or celebrations of festivals or occasions like birthdays, even if performances are included in the program.

Terms & Conditions

  1. The reservation of DCC hall is exclusively restricted to permanent employees of the DAE unit. The allotment of the hall shall not extend to dependents or family members of employees, or retired employees of DAE. In the event of verification, individuals seeking reservation must furnish proof of their employment status to the DCC Managing Committee for scrutiny and confirmation.
  2. The premises are explicitly allocated exclusively for the purpose of facilitating cultural programs, rehearsals, or training directly associated with cultural events.
  3. The allocation of the hall is strictly prohibited for personal events, including but not limited to birthday and anniversary celebrations, social gatherings such as get-togethers, or any religious or political functions.
  4. The hall is strictly prohibited from being utilized for profit motives or commercial purposes.
  5. The premises may only be utilized for the specific purpose stated in the application. Any unauthorized use will result in forceful eviction without prior notice, and the security deposit shall be deemed forfeited.
  6. The DCC managing committee bears no responsibility for the arrangement and decoration of the hall for the cultural event. Ensuring the hall is left in a neat, hygienic, and usable condition is the sole responsibility of the applicant. Failure to vacate the hall promptly or any delay beyond the booked time may subject the applicant to appropriate and stringent actions.
  7. The erection of any structure on the site that cannot be dismantled within the designated booking period is strictly prohibited. Violation of this policy may result in penalties, including the expenses incurred for the removal of the structure.
  8. The cooking of food is explicitly prohibited on the premises; nevertheless, the distribution of light snacks, tea, coffee, and water to participants during the program is permissible.
  9. DCC assumes no responsibility for any fire accidents or other incidents arising from the user’s negligence, carelessness, or lack of diligence.
  10. The user is obligated to ensure the preservation of all property, including the lawn. In the event of any damage, the security deposit shall be forfeited, in addition to the recovery of the assessed value of the damage.
  11. The maximum capacity of the hall is limited to 60 persons. If additional seating is required, the applicant may bring up to 20 extra chairs after intimating the
    managing committee in advance. However, the total number of participants shall not exceed 80.
  12. The DCC managing committee or appointed staff reserves the right to take photos or videos during the event for record keeping. 
  13. DCC Sound system shall be operated only by the sound operator authorized by DCC managing committee.
  14. The utilization of loudspeakers, sound systems, musical instruments, video and audio recordings, lighting, screening of films etc., is subject to various acts and laws in force. The user is obligated to obtain necessary permissions from the relevant authorities.
  15. Only LED lighting is permitted within the premises for additional illumination. The user is prohibited from employing any electrical equipment with a high current rating without prior notification and explicit permission.
  16. If a reservation is cancelled for any reason, the applicant will receive a 90% refund if the cancellation is notified or made at least one month prior to the event date. A 50% refund will apply if the cancellation is made before 7 days prior to the event date. No refund will be granted if the cancellation is made less than 7 days prior to the event.
  17. Reservation is non-transferable. Unauthorized transfer of booking will result in eviction forfeiture of security deposit.
  18. The employee who booked the hall must be present at the venue during the event unless there is a compelling reason, provided that proper notification is given.
  19. DCC retains the authority to cancel the granted permission without prior notice in the event of a violation of the specified terms and conditions.
  20. DCC additionally maintains the right to revoke permission under compelling circumstances, without incurring any liability or being subject to claims for damages and losses from the user’s side.
  21. Cash payments will not be accepted for hall reservations
