Mr. RAJENDRA DAROLE

श्री राजेन्द्र दारोळे जी को बचपन से ही गाने का शौक रहा है। उम्र कि अठारह साल से इन्होंने विधीवत शास्त्रीय संगीत सिखने की शुरुआत की। इनके पहले गुरु पं मधुकर कोल्हटकर जी से इन्होंने छह साल तक गाने की प्रारंभिक शिक्षा ली। फिर कुछ अंतराल के बाद इन्होंने आपके दुसरे गुरु पं दिनकर जाधव जी से जयपूर अत्रौली घराने के गायन शैली की विधिवत तालीम लेना शुरू किया। करीब करीब बारह साल तक दारोळे जी ने घराना गायकी सिखी। इनके दुसरे गुरु जी के निर्वाण के पश्चात फिर कुछ सालों के अंतराल के बाद पं दिनकर जाधव गुरु जी कि सुपुत्री विदुषी विजया ताई जाधव गटलेवार जी से भी शिक्षा प्राप्त की। श्री दारोळे जी ने BARC में अपने बाईस साल के कार्यकाल के दौरान BARC का प्रतिनिधित्व कल्चरल मीटस में कई बार किया और क ई प्राइजेस भी जितें है। पिछले करीब करीब सतरा सालों से संगीत अध्यापन कार्य कर रहे हैं। संगीत विशारद होने के साथ साथ ये गांधर्व महाविद्यालय के मान्यताप्राप्त संगीत शिक्षक एवं परीक्षक भी है।

Mrs.  MITHU BHATTACHARYA

Mithu Bhattacharya is Sangeet Visharad in Hindustani classical from Gandharv University Mumbai. She has done diploma in Nazrulgeeti from Chandigarh kala Kendra. After doing job in several schools in Mumbai as a music teacher She is currently working in Kumud Vidyamandir English School. Her school got so many prizes in ward level and district level competition under her guidance. She has been taking private music classes since 15 years. She is teaching Hindustani classical in DAE CULTURAL CENTRE since 2 yrs.  She is an examiner in Gandharv University Mumbai.

 

Mrs.  AMRITA KUMAR

Faculty:  HINDISTANI MUSIC (VOCAL)

Smt. Amrita Kumar has a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Hons.). In addition, she continued to pursue her deep interest in music by acquiring formal training and completing Sangeet Visharad from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya. Despite her family responsibilities, she regularly devotes some time for practicing Hindustani classical and occasionally light music and singing. She prefers imparting training and formal education in vocal music to students. She has also composed music to a music video released last year on social media. At present, she is a faculty and vocal trainer in DCC.

Mr.  AJINKYA THAKUR

Faculty:  WESTERN DANCE

Shri Ajinkya Thakur is a skilled dancer with 13 years of experience in Jazz Funk and Hip Hop. His credentials include:

  • Gold medalist martial artist (2015).
  • Certified Zumba and Aerobics instructor.
  • Choreographed for TV serials on Sab TV, Sony TV, and Colors.
  • Assisted on India’s Got Talent (Season 4) and Dance India Dance (Season 5).
  • Worked on shows like Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai.
  • Choreographed for Zee Cine Awards and Star Global Awards.
  • Created routines for celebrities such as Akshay Kumar and Varun Dhawan.
  • Choreographed for over 30 schools and colleges in Mumbai.
  • Currently teaches dance at BARC, IIT Bombay, TDAS, and various other locations.

Mr.  SANJAY G MHASKAR

Faculty:  FOLK DANCE

  • Possesses extensive knowledge of traditional Indian folk dances.
  • Trained under the esteemed guidance of Shri Sadanand Rane, a renowned choreographer, director, and producer in the Marathi industry.
  • Received additional dance instruction from choreographers and directors Shri Kiran Kakde, Shri Arvind Rajput, and Shri Ketkar.
  • Brings 25 years of experience in the dance field.

 

Mrs.  ANGANA BANNERJEE

Faculty:  KATHAK

Angana Bannerjee is a trained classical Kathak dancer who holds a Visharad degree from Prachin Kala Kendra, Chandigarh. She began her journey in dance at the age of 4. She is trained under esteemed gurus. Specializing in the Lucknow Gharana, she completed her Nritya Visharad under Guruma Smt. Mitali Bhattachariya, a direct disciple of Padma Vibhushan Pandit Shree Birju Maharaj. Angana has performed on numerous prestigious stages . She judged school level, district level and state level dance compitions. Apart from dance she is a senior Social Science Researcher and works at TISS.She is a registered Kathak teacher with the Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya.

Mrs.  REWATI KULKARNI

Faculty: BHARATANATYAM

Rewati is a passionate Bharatanatyam dancer, choreographer, and trainer with 18 years of training under the renowned Guru Shri S.P. Srinivasan. Inspired by her guru, an accomplished vocalist and nattuvanar, she pursues advanced learning in Bharatanatyam and nattuvangam. She holds a Master’s in Fine Arts in Bharatanatyam from Annamalai University, Chennai, and has performed at various festivals in Mumbai.

Rewati also holds a Master’s in Science and a Bachelor’s in Education and works as an academic educator. Her close association with students of all age groups is driven by her passion for a child-centred teaching learning atmosphere. Her teaching style is student oriented and believes in all round development of the student.

In addition to her career, she has also been a semi-professional football player for the Mumbai District Football Association.

Mrs.  GOKILA SURESH

Faculty:  BHARATANATYAM

Smt. Gokila Suresh began learning Bharatanatyam at age three with Gurus Payyanuur Krishnan Master and Adyar Lakshmanan. She continued her training for over 15 years at Kalakshetra under the Padma Bhushan Dhananjayans. As a Bharathakalanjali member, she performed at prominent venues like Bharathiya Vidhya Bhavan and the Natyanjali Festival at Chidambaram. Smt. Gokila also trained in Mohiniyattom with Kalamandalam Kshemavathy and has been recognized with the “Kala Thilakam” title. She has performed at Chembai Sangeetholsavam and the Thyagaraja festival. She was learning music under Late Smt. Chandra Ramaswamy at BRR Sabha. She holds a B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and an IBM certificate in e-business.

Mrs.  BHUVANA SELVARAJ

Faculty:  BHARATANATYAM

Bhuvana Selvaraj began learning Bharatanatyam at age 5 under Guru Dr. P.R.C. Nair, completing her Arangetram at 12. She has been with Kanaka Sabha Performing Arts Centre for 24 years, receiving further training from Guru Dr. Smt. Siri Rama and Smt. Sarikha Ajay. Bhuvana has performed in special compositions such as Tulsidas Ramayana and Asian Rhythms – Monsoon Beats, among others. Professionally, she is an Architect with Runwal Group and continues to teach and perform Bharatanatyam.

 

Mrs.  Gayatri

Faculty:  BHARATANATYAM

Smt. Gayathri Iyer is a skilled classical dancer with a master’s degree in Bharatanatyam from Tamil Nadu University. At the age of 5, she started learning Bharatanatyam, trained under renowned dance instructors including Dr Bala Nandakumar, Ms. Vaijayanthi Mala, and the late Ms. Neela Krishnamurthy. She was awarded the title “Sangeeta Vidwan” by the Tamil Nadu government. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Music from Madras University and a post-graduation in Bharatanatyam. Being passionate about dance, she founded the “Nithya Kala Dance Academy” and has been successfully running this academy for the past 15 years. She uses her extensive experience and understanding of a wide variety of dances to provide her students with an enriching dancing education. Her students have won honours, awards in various national and international events. Training is also given in Choreography, grade exams & university exams.

Ms. Merin Jose

Ms. Merin Jose is a vibrant and multi-talented individual fueled by her profound passion for dancing and choreographing. Alongside her academic pursuits at Fr. Agnel College, Vashi, where she earned her engineering degree, Merin ventured into professional dance instruction. Having over 6 years of teaching experience, she has imparted her knowledge across a wide range of age groups for a variety of programs and competition. Merin is well-versed in Bharatanatyam, Semiclassical, Bollywood, and Western dance forms, showcasing her versatility in the realm of movement arts. Beyond the dance floor, she channels her dynamism into her role as a Product Manager at Reliance Jio, exemplifying a harmonious blend of artistic and professional prowess.
