Eligibility:
This batch is intended for intermediate-level children with prior experience in Hindustani vocal music. Applicants should be familiar with the topics listed under “Lessons Covered So Far.” Admission is based on availability and will be granted only after an assessment test conducted by the instructor.
Activity fees
- fee: ₹ 1000 per month
- Payment Schedule: Collected on a quarterly basis
Age and Gender Criteria
This batch is open to all children aged 6 to 10 years. Any dependent child of a DCC member within this age range is eligible to apply
Essential requirements for students
- Attendance & Punctuality: Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Uniform: There is no prescribed dress code or uniform.
- Practice: Regular home practice is required.
- Instruments: A digital Tanpura, Tabla, and harmonium are recommended for home practice.
- Performance Participation: Students are expected to participate in trimester classroom performances and the annual day performance.
- Commitment to Learning: Students should demonstrate a strong commitment to learning and improving their musical skills.
- Listening Practice: Regular listening to classical Hindustani music is encouraged to develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of the art form.
- Assignments: Completion of any given assignments or exercises between classes is expected.
- Respect & Discipline: Students must maintain respect for the teacher, fellow students, and the learning environment, following all guidelines and instructions.
- Instrument Maintenance: Students are responsible for keeping their instruments in good condition, especially if they bring them to class.
- Parental Involvement (for younger students): Parents are encouraged to support their child’s practice routine and ensure that they attend classes regularly.
- Theory Knowledge: A basic understanding of music theory related to Hindustani music may be required or developed during the course.
